David B Posted 14 March , 2009 Share Posted 14 March , 2009 I have been furthering my family research and to my sadness find that a distant relative of mine had four sons in GW the two eldest of whom were KIA in 1915 and 1916. The first was Pte Henry Alfred Dinham 2528 6th London Rgt KIA 25-9-15 and the second Pte Frederick Walter Dinham 2527 6th London Rgt KIA 15-9-16. Frederick is remembered on the Thiepval memorial, so I presume he was killed during the Somme battle, but Henry is remembered on the MAROC British Cemetary Grenay. This one I havent come across. My question is what battle would have Henry been taking part in and approx where is the MAROC cemetary. David

David B Posted 14 March , 2009 Author Share Posted 14 March , 2009 Thanks Paul It looks like Pte Dinham was one of the 87 who died in this particular phase of the battle of Loos. RIP Henry Thanks David
