christine liava'a Posted 29 March , 2004 Share Posted 29 March , 2004 These two men are supposed to have gone from Fiji and served in the war. They could be brothers. They are not in the Australian or NZ armies, or the Fiji Defence force.so are probably in British regiments. I cannot find either of them anywhere on the Internet, in Familysearch. FreeBMD, or the 1881 census I can't find Thomas Ivor Somerset. MC , in the London Gazette Could someone look in a later census for either of them, and also in databases of regiments? Pretty please? BottsGreys Posted 14 September , 2004 Share Posted 14 September , 2004 Christine: There is a Forum member named: curranl who appears to have a big interest in Irish Units (the Royal Irish Rifles being one) and may be able to help you.
