Please see attached MIC. Can any body please help work out which battery or brigade he served with from his number or actual medal roll. Is there enough clues on the MIC alone ?

Thank you in advance.

Paul.

might be worth checking the roll itself

The RFA medal rolls don't always show unit details. I've had a 1914/15 Star trio for almost 15 years, and I was never able to find out what Battery/Brigade the recipient served with in France. All I knew was that his Silver War Badge was sent to him via the 544th Howitzer Battery at Worksop which wasn't much help.

I finally got around to sending away for the medal rolls, expecting to finally discover the unit he saw action with. Imagine my surprise, and dismay, when neither roll entry listed his Brigade. Nowadays, I much prefer the RGA, since I seem to always be able to find out the particular soldier's unit.
