I was wondering if somebody might be able to help me. How often are med marked as KIA of there MIC, but

they don't appear on the CWGC or on SDGW?

Is there more chance of the MIC getting it wrong, or are there men missing from CWGC and SDGW?

There are men missing from CWGC. And SDGW is packed with inaccuracies. MICs are also inaccurate.

The In From The Cold Project is trying to find those missing and present evidence to CWGC. We may have already identified your man. What's his name and details?

Jonathon,

All records are subject to human error. There are incorrect MICs and missing casualties from CWGC. There is a project going to try and rectify those missed by CWGC, and you can search this "In from the cold" project on this forum.

The chap I had been looking at was WO Cl II James Rogers L 12799 Royal Fusiliers. His MIC stated

KIS 1/7/16, however I couldn't find him on the CWGC or SDGW, however now I have sorted it as he

is listed on the CWGC as CSM Jame Rogers L16821 Middlesex Regiment, and SDGC confirms that

his previosu number was L12799 with the Royal Fusiliers.
