Is there any forum member who might know about how Pte James Oliver Baughan, 38081, of the 2/4 Gloucester's. Soldiers Died has him as 'Died' on 5 December, 1917. Could it be possible as a POW. He is buried in Caudry British Cemetery, to the east of Cambrai.

Can't help with a definitive answer, but you maybe on to something with regards to being a POW. The CWGC cemetery entry states "Caudry town was the scene of part of the Battle of Le Cateau on the 26th August 1914, and from that date it remained in German hands until the 10th October 1918, when it was captured by the 37th Division. It had been a German centre for medical units".
