Private Timothy Blood 1st Battalion, of the Sherwood Foresters

Remembered today Private 70732 Timothy Blood of the 1st Battalion, of the Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment). He was killed in action on Sunday the 4th of March 1917. Aged 35. Born in Clifton, Derbyshire he enlisted in Bakewell and was a resident of Calver Derbyshire. Timothy was the son of Charles and Alice Blood, of Mayfield, Ashbourne and the husband of Hannah Elizabeth Sherwin (formerly Blood), of King St., Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Timothy is buried in AVELUY WOOD CEMETERY, MESNIL-MARTINSART, Somme, France.
