Private Thomas Edward Davis

In Rememberance today of Private Thomas Edward Davis of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers attached to the 177th Tunnelling Coy Royal Engineers who was killed in action on the 25th February 1917 Aged 20 he was the son of John and Mary Ellen Davis of Canaster Cottage, Overton, Ellesmere. He is Buried in or around the RE Grave Railway Wood near Ieper Belgium.

Let those that come after remember their names.

You may know this but the details from Overton war memorial say "Pte.

Thomas Edward Davies 17th Bn. Royal Welsh Fusiliers & 177th Tunnelling Coy. Royal Engineers 25970 25 Feb 1917 20 Of Barn Hill Cottage, Adwy, Coedpoeth, Wrexham. Son of John and Mary Ellen Davies, of Canister Cottage, Turner Street, Overton. Royal Engineer's Grave, Railway Wood, Ieper, Belgium
