I'm sitting here with a BWM. I can't make any sense of the inscription, can anyone out there help?

M.26504 S.L. BETTS. WMN.2 R.N.

M: a prefix indicating an artisan, engine room and electrical artificers, armourers and wiremen.

26504: the man's service number

S L Betts: the man's name

WMN.2: Wireman 2nd Class

R.N.: Royal Navy
