Hello, I am trying to find out where my Great Grandad's unit served. I know that the 154th were part of the 37th Division so know what action they saw but I am trying to be more specific regarding where he was and when.

I know they went out to france end of July 1915 and he was with them until he demobbed in 1919.

Any information would be helpful

Thanks

Mark

The War Diary for the 154th is available at NA, Kew. That should tell you exactly where they were and what they were doing for the duration.

WO95/2523 154 Field Company Royal Engineers 1915 Aug. - 1919 Apr.

That is great news, Steve, thank you. Hopefully someone will be able to copy this for me or already have a copy as I won't be able to get up there for some time. Even so, at least I know there is hope!
