I have just obtained a smashing book from my Libary i was going to buy it on line but it does cost a lot.

All the 317 pages are photographs and many of the captions name the soldier in the pictures.

Its called UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT OF THE BRITISH ARMY IN WORLD WAR 1.

BY STEPHEN J CHAMBERS.

No doubt many of you have this book or have seen it, i think it is worth getting out at a Libary.

Yes, it has been discussed here. Excellent, incomparably good photos, but beware the captions, decidedly dodgy on badges, both by omission and commission.

Spelling weak.

A definite buy if it can be afforded, for the photos alone.
