Remembered Today:

Joseph Pinches

In 1921, on the eve of the unveiling of the Maldon Town War Memorial, an appeal was placed in the local paper asking if anyone could provide any details on:

Joseph Pinches

so that his name might be included. In the end it wasn't and does not appear on the memorial today. However, he does appear on a brass plaque in one of the nearby churches (St. Mary's).

Anybody any ideas who he was?

Regards.

Thanks for this great level of detail Grant - very kind of you. I wonder what the Maldon link is?
