Tomkinson Posted 22 February , 2009 Share Posted 22 February , 2009 Fred is listed as the stepson of Sarah Ann who is listed as the head of the family. Presumably she remarried but Fred's father is not listed nor is any male head of household. His mother was born in Laisterdyke, Bradford. Cheers Mike Tomkinson Bradford

Cheers Mike Tomkinson Bradford Thank you Mike for that information .Freds brother Thomas B Airton No 41363 also served in the war and was in the 1/8th D.L.I and reported missing during May 1918 although he did return from the war.The strange thing is that both Fred and Thomas' sister in law married a German who returned to Germany to Fight against the British .His Name was Frederick william Oetzel and it wound be interesting to find out what happened to him.
