Hello,

I'm curious about the ship numbering system. I have a photo of the Transport 'Olympic' displaying two numbers: 2810 (which she carried throughout her wartime career) and Z 67 (which shows up in only one photo that I know of). Were the 'Z' codes some sort of local identifier, i.e. only used in the Mediterranean?

Regards,

Ralph
