305611 CSM Arthur Riding, 8th Lancashire Fusiliers, came from Salford. I have his MIC (uninformative except he did not get a Star; a Labour Corps one). Any other information very welcome. I assume he had enlisted long before 1917 and would love to find his earlier number.

PS I should add that he won the DCM while with 2/8th Bn.

Chris, The History of the L/Fs mentions him and why he won the DCM but it doesnt give any service numbers unfortunately. Ralph.
