KNOWN GRAVES:MEMORIAL LISTINGS

I have been looking through the spreadsheet on my local memorial and noticed a marked difference in the amount of men who have known graves to men listed on memorials in different armies. I have filtered out those who died and checked only those who DOW or were KIA and came up with the figures below

ARMY..................TOTAL......GRAVES.......MEMORIAL......APPROX%

AUSTRALIANS.........5..............4..................1....................20

BRITISH................221..........147...............74...................33

CANADIANS...........28............12................16...................55

NEW ZEALANDERS...9..............3..................6...................66

SOUTH AFRICANS....4..............3..................1...................25

I know these are very small sample figures in the great scheme of things but has anyone else noticed similar patterns or is there an obvious reason for the much higher Canadian and New Zealand no known graves figures.

Sorry about the poor table but it is the best I can do.. :)
