Tomkinson Posted 27 January , 2009 Share Posted 27 January , 2009 Does anyone know where the R/2 Battery 1/2 West Riding RFA BEF 49, Division was operating on the 12th May 1916? My Grandmother wrote to her father Alf who was serving with the above unit on that day as it was her birthday. I am pretty sure Alf was injured about this time and invalided to a hospital in North Wales from where he eventually got 3 months home leave to Ripon. I am trying to put a time line together to follow where he was in the war based on a collection of postcards. The card he was sent was one of the Patriot series produced by Bamforth & Co.
