They were at 2nd Ypres April-May 1915 as part of 50 Division and due to losses amalgamated with 1/6 DLI as you will see from Michelle's link,reforming a couple of months later.

They were later in the Battles of the Somme,but not at the start it seems.

Thanks for that .My Grandfather was reported missing at the end of May 1918 and wonder where he was at the time.

This should explain where he was. My grandfather was taken POw on the Aisne in May 1918 also in the 8th Durhams.

Thanks for that link just finished reading it , amazing. I also have a Great Uncle who enlisted in Bradford on the 6th may 1915 in the R.A.M.C. On his medal card it reads RAMC/101p49 Page 3567.Any ideas where he may have been and what division he may have been asigned to.
