Hi there I am trying to find out about the Canadian Memorial Cross. Did every canadian soldier. who died. family recevie one. and how would I go about finding out if my man got one .His name is Private Samuel Pollin s/n457434 60th bn Canadian Infantry .Killed on the 21/4/1916. He was born in Scotland. Thanking you all the best yours Inniskilling :rolleyes:

In fact Memorial Crosses were sent to more than one recipient,for instance; the soldiers Mother would receive one & if married the Spouse would also receive one,[along with the Plaque & Medals as immediate NoK {the mother then "ranking" second in line}]
