Chris_Baker Posted 15 January , 2009 Share Posted 15 January , 2009 A chap I am researching was an officer in the RE and spent his whole war on attachment to the Ministry of Munitions. His service record is still with the MOD and although I now know he was with the Department of Design I am struggling to get any further details of his work. Today I consulted the oracle, ie William Spencer, at the National Archives in the hope that he would direct me to some Ministry personnel files or some other evidence of such an attachment. Nothing there, really. Any ideas, pals?

Chris_Baker Posted 16 January , 2009 Author Share Posted 16 January , 2009 No secret. But not terribly good from a search viewpoint. Harold Williams.
Simon Jones Posted 17 January , 2009 Share Posted 17 January , 2009 I see what you mean. I was hoping he might just have rung a bell. A search of the History of the Ministry of Munitions via Google Books didn't come up with anything conclusive.
