Chris_Baker Posted 15 January , 2009 Share Posted 15 January , 2009 Gnr 193410 James S Wylie RFA. No service record exists (I've checked). He was awarded the MM in the London Gazette 26 August 1918. Came from Glasgow. Can anyone help me link him to a unit? (NB: another RFA man of the same name also won MM, serving in the TF. His service record exists, as luck would have it). Guest Posted 16 January , 2009 Share Posted 16 January , 2009 Found a James S Wylie S/23585 in the Seaforth Highlanders, don't know if that helps. Also Chris , the Gunner Gr, looks like a, Dr, Driver , in the RFA man? Cheers Mike.
welshdoc Posted 16 January , 2009 Share Posted 16 January , 2009 Not that it will help you much Chris but it will be impressed on his MM. So anyone out there with the MM?
yellow Posted 17 January , 2009 Share Posted 17 January , 2009 Hi Chris, I can tell you what unit he won the MM with ............ 13/307th Brigade Royal Field Artillery. I know this is him because there is a Gallantry card for him at the NA which has the same regimental number written on it.
