llysfaen Posted 15 January , 2009 Share Posted 15 January , 2009 In researching a member of my family tree, I discovered he had been awarded the DSM about a year before his death (by mine explosion, along with all hands aboard the trawler BORNEO, 18 June 1917) The London Gazette announced the award as usual, as shown below: SUPPLEMENT TO THE LONDON GAZETTE, 14 JULY, 1916 Deckhand Edgar Wileman, R.N.R., O.N.D.A. 2002. I understand the 'R.N.R.' to mean Royal Naval Reserve', but I am unable to discover the meaning of 'O.N.D.A 2002'. I would be very grateful for any help in this matter. With many thanks... .....
