wulsten Posted 13 January , 2009 Share Posted 13 January , 2009 Original post was to locate Nine Wood position, this found below, war diary only gives scant info can anyone else give any info on what they were engaged in, researching a local chap T Shone who died KIA 1/2/1918 War Diary for the 8th Battalion shows that the unit had just returned to the front line trenches on the evening of the 31st January 1918, relieving the 10th Royal Warwickshire Regiment, on the 1st February it states, Battalion relieved by the 9th Welsh Regt and proceeded to intermediate line, HQ Ridge Trench, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
