Northern Soul Posted 13 January , 2009 Share Posted 13 January , 2009 I have done a search on pervious threads concerning A.C.I. 1499 of 1916 (transfer of men between corps etc.) and am getting confused. My reading of it is that the renumbering of men transferring between corps or between TF and Service battalions within the same corps was apparently mandatory. However, I have instances of where men have been renumbered (effectively losing their TF "badge") and conversely where they were not renumbered but retained their TF number. Were there exceptions to A.C.I. 1499 or is it just that mistakes were made? Andy.
