Walter Kortooms Posted 9 February , 2003 Share Posted 9 February , 2003 Hello, 3 Officers and 11 O.R. of the 1st. Bn. Irish Guards were killed in action on 14 september 1914, during the Battle on the Aisne (near Soupir), according to SDGW and Rudyard Kipling’s “The Irish Guards in the Great War”. I know where the 3 officers and 10 O.R. are buried or commemorated, but I can’t find Pte. Patrick Rogers on the CWGC-site, even if I search for all soldiers with the surname Rogers who died in 1914. I have also searched for all soldiers, serving with the Irish Guards, with the surname Rogers who died during WOI. No success. I have the War Diary, but that gives no information about the deaths of O.R. What should I do now? Thanks Walter Kortooms
