east surrey rgt

Hello all you good people on the forum,

my greatgrandfather

servered in the 2nd batt east surreys during the boer war 12381

later in the great war, then in the 12th, survived and passed away the year war pensions

were introduced? surname willmott

I am no good at the research bit, therefore i appeal for any info that can point me in the

write way, sorry to bother you all.

This has been a life long unsolved puzzle to me.

please look at my profile picture to see him the ribbons and chain are also a mystery to me

and our familly? any help could fullfill and possibly close a chapter in our history.

I think the War Pensions Act was 1920 - would this then exclude the BWM and VM from this photo ( and possibly the 1914 star) due to their issue dates?
