Have been trying to find another relation who fought in ww1.

Hugh McPhee born Ardchattan 7/2/1882 . He was living in Rannoch in 1914.

Relation now thinks he was in the 8th Black Watch.

He was wounded at St Eloi oct 14 1918, and we think , treated at Beaufort Hospital Bristol , there may be a photo in some book ? of him, at this time in hospital.

On ancestry i can find one Hugh McPhee's MIC Pte S/18750.

Is there any way of confirming this is the right man? or has anyone come across this name in their research?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Mike

I presume he was wounded during attack on St Eloi , Jerry fm, and Mogg fm. Would anyone be able to tell if he is mentioned in the Bn diary for the period.

Cheers Mike.
