kildaremark Posted 30 December , 2008 Share Posted 30 December , 2008 Irish Independent 3 July 1922 mentions:- "M.J. Curran, was an ex-soldier who had been attached to the Tank Corps" This man was killed in the fighting in Dublin at the beginning of the Irish Civil War at the end of June 1922. He was either a civilian or with the Republican forces. Anyone know anything about his Tank Corps past. Ancestry doesn't give an M.J. Curran for the Tank Corps. delta Posted 3 January , 2009 Share Posted 3 January , 2009 Could have been an RASC mechanic or ROAC armourer - the description would indicate he would have not been badged Tank Corps
