I have been researching this soldier for a long time:

b. 18 Jan 1891 in Ayrshire

Lieut 21 Aug 14

Served with 101 Field Ambulance RAMC 1915-17 then with a CCS.

Awarded Military Cross 1917; bar 1918.

Continued to serve with RAMC between the wars.

Commanded 1st Malayan CCS and taken POW 1942-45.

Died in tragic circumstances in Edinburgh 6 Oct 1948.

I have quite a lot on him, but one thing I'm lacking is - where is he buried? Have any of you come across him or 101 Field Ambulance: photos etc?

Because he served in WW2 his papers are not available at the PRO yet, but have seen his POW record for WW2 and war diaries etc.

Thanks Conor - I do have an obituary for him, but it's his burial place I don't know.

Jacky - that was one fact I didn't have for the WW1 period; I owe you a cup of tea in John's next time Paul and I are in Ypres!
