frev Posted 24 November , 2008 Share Posted 24 November , 2008 Looking for a VAD Hospital in Grosvenor Square, London – operating in 1917. Have discovered the Coulter Hospital at No. 5 Grosvenor Square run by an American Mrs Charlotte Herbine, in a building offered for use by Sir Walpole Greenwell – know this to have been in operation b/w 1916 & 1919 Would anyone know if: - this was classed as a VAD hospital - it was the only hospital in the square - there were others?? Thanks for any help. Cheers, Frev
HERITAGE PLUS Posted 24 November , 2008 Share Posted 24 November , 2008 Frev There was a VAD Auxiliary Hospital - The Robert Fleming Hospital (Matron a Miss F. Tisdall) at 27 Grosvenor Square. The Anglo-Chilian Hospital at No:6 also looked after war patients. Dave
