Hi Annette,

I hope you are well as it is a while since I have been in contact with you, but I found this article recently and wondered/hoped it might be of some interest.

Private George Jolly, the son of Mr G E Jolly Newtown , Handsacre has been wounded and is now in hospital and making good progress. Before the war he was employed by Mr Williams of Upper Longdon but joined the Shropshire Light Infantry in early 1915.

This was in the local paper 6.10.16

All the best

John
