grantowi Posted 16 November , 2008 Share Posted 16 November , 2008 Hi Paul, welcome to the forum, on the national archives there are 3 William Bradleys, all are privates, 2 are in the South Lancs and 1 is in the 9th south lancs. TNA - http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documen...amp;querytype=1 - cards can be downloaded for £2 If you go to Ancestry and click on the 90th anniversary, you might be able to find his papers - its free this month to search WW1 soldiers Happy hunting Grant
Andrew Upton Posted 16 November , 2008 Share Posted 16 November , 2008 Looks a lot like either the ribbands for the 1914 or 1914-15 Star, the BWM and the VM.

Ken Lees Posted 17 November , 2008 Share Posted 17 November , 2008 Is that a collar badge at the edge of the photo? If it is it suggests that your photo is post-war. The last medal ribbon (closest to the shoulder) doesn't look like the MSM to me so perhaps the card with the MSM isn't your man. Do you know where your grandad was from? The London Gazette may have given the hometown of the MSM recipient when it published the award. That will either discount the MSM recipient or leave him as a possible.
