"The Tipperary War Dead - A History of the Casualties of the First World War"

I picked up a copy of this small paperback book on a recent weekend trip down to Dublin. I am especially heartened to see any literature on The Great War that brings the sacrifice made by soldiers from what is now the Republic of Ireland, who for various and much debated reasons were mostly air-brushed from Ireland's recent history. For too long these men have been "officially" forgotten and it is good to see yet another book covering another county.

Well done Tom and Ruth Burnell - "They will not be forgotten"

Regards, Tommy.

Thanks Tommy

Glad you liked it. Wickow for ww1 and ww2 ( all in one book) will be available around the end of April and Wexford although it is finished will not be published until late in the year. I am happy to do look ups for any of these counties.

Regards.

Tom.

Yes, very well done to Tom and Ruth! Bought my copy in Easons in Cork. Hope that the Cork Roll of Honour will be joining it soon on the shelf. JPC
