My wife's great uncle was commissioned "in the field" on 10th September 1918. Can anyone advise as to where to look for his records? I have a Medal Card/Medal Roll reference but can find no trace of a service records in the on-line "ordinary soldiers" information

Thanks

Merve

They are in the National Archives as physical records in WO339 or WO374. I've posted some references on your Sidney Bedford topic, if that is who you are asking about.

You can search on line with the National Archives,to see if they are there, first,in the officers' records. Not all are there. If they have survived, they should include records generated about his as an O.R.,as well.
