Ken Lees Posted 13 November , 2008 Share Posted 13 November , 2008 Can anyone point me towards an account of the activities of the 6th Bn. Connaught Rangers on the 21st March, 1918 and the days leading up to it? I am researching, on behalf of his family, 7812 Pte Edward Joseph SHAW who was killed in action that day. Any information would be gratefully received. Ken
Desmond7 Posted 13 November , 2008 Share Posted 13 November , 2008 War letters to a wife - Rowland Feilding (edited by Johnathan Walker) Spellmount Classics. If my scanner was working I'd scan stuff. Feilding commanded Btn from Somme 1916 to post March offensive. His letters to his wife are fantastic. Try and see if anyone elese has got this for scanning, if not I'll do it from work. des

Ken Lees Posted 14 November , 2008 Author Share Posted 14 November , 2008 Des, Thanks for reminding me that Feilding was the CO. I have the book but hadn't made the connection. Mark, E-mails received - many thanks. This man's story is now coming together - if only I could find his service record! Ken
