Steven Broomfield Posted 13 November , 2008 Share Posted 13 November , 2008 A friend has asked if i can find anything out about this chap. He was L/8500, East Kent Regiment, awarded MM in 1916. His Medal Card apparently lists a trio, but not the MM, although this has been confirmed by the regiment, according to the family. He has been a great help to me. he has spent 5 years collating data. My relative was in the 6th Buffs and died at La Transloy ridge on 7th October 1917 - no known grave. Good luck with your search. Michael Posted 14 November , 2008 Share Posted 14 November , 2008 Broomers He joined The Buffs on 7/5/1907 and went overseas with the 2nd Battalion on 17/1/1915. At some stage he transferred to the 1st Battalion. His MM was gazetted on 18/6/1917. He was discharged with wounds on 24/6/1919. Mick Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
