MikeMcHugh Posted 12 November , 2008 Share Posted 12 November , 2008 Hi Pals...can anyone help...I'm looking for information on a Bernard Kelly 82636 RE 173 Tunneling Coy.I've already got his medal card. He was killed at Ypres on 6th July 1915. How can I find out what the Coy was doing on that day and how he lost his life. Any information and pointers would be appreciated. Many thanks. Ken Lees Posted 12 November , 2008 Share Posted 12 November , 2008 Mike, The best source of information of this kind is the unit war diary. These are held at the National Archives, Kew and can be searched in person, free of charge at Kew or you can pay a researcher to do it for you. I believe some are available online (for a fee) but I am not familiar with this aspect. I am sure someone else will advise. Ken
