According to the BBC, the access to service records is free for this month. There appears to be virtually nothing available for names beginning with K thru Z. Is there an explanation; was it perhaps that only the second half of the alphabet that was burnt?

Not all service records on Ancestry only A-H the odd ones after these letters were probably misfiles, pension records as they have been named, were records not in the repository when it was bombed during the 2nd World War. Ralph.

Having joined ancestry for the free month I am now spending hours of frustration looking for soldiers which is only relieved by the wonderful interpretation of what is in this case a very readable address. A small prize to the first member to get it right!
