Mehitabell Posted 5 November , 2008 Share Posted 5 November , 2008 'Somme Mud' by E.P.F. Lynch and Will Davies, is, as it says, 'a first hand account of the war experiences of an infantryman in France between 1916-1919'. I know there a number of similar books and accounts to be had, but it may be of interest, particularly (since it is written by an Australian) to anyone who may have had Australian relatives who fought. None of my ancestors were Australian but I still found it worth the read.
