terwaan Posted 4 November , 2008 Share Posted 4 November , 2008 Hello, I'm doing research on the American missionary and philantropist Ralph C. Norton, who mainly focussed with his wife on helping Belgian Soldiers. For most of the war they stayed in Hotel Celil, a grand hotel which stood between the Thames Embankment and the Strand in London. They also went a few times to De Panne (Belgium) during the war, and then they stayed in Hotel Teilinck, a hotel that was frequented by Allied officers. My question is the following: Exept for regular guests, is there knowledge of other guests in Hotel Cecil that were in one way or another connected with the Great War? sotonmate Posted 5 November , 2008 Share Posted 5 November , 2008 RCN Try a Google "Hotel Cecil 1915",there are a few stories of the time. You could extend it to other years. Sotonmate
