Found nr Mill Road

Whilst walking up towards Mill Road Cemetry (adj Ulster Tower...Somme) on Saturday - I discovered a childs small cuddly rabbit...face down in a puddle in the dirt.

My youngest daughter has taken great care of it since - it's had a bath and is now tucked up nice and warm.

If your child has lost it and can't sleep with worry...describe it a bit more to me in a PM and I'll send it 'home'.

Simon.

That's a really nice thing you've done there Simon.

I know when we went to Avril's a couple of years ago my daughter left behind her precious 'Blue' which had been daddy's teddy bear when he was a baby. She was devastated, but luckily Avril found it and posted it on - hence why Blue never leaves the house these days.

I hope bunny finds his way home soon.

About 15 years ago, my son Tom lost his beloved cuddly dog Spot near Fromelles. He was devastated at the time. We never saw Spot again.

Thanks Simon,

It was mine

Terry

Not suprised Terry...one of the many thrown out of your pram over the weekend...and especially after last night's result ! :D

The 'lost one' looked to have been there for quite some time, so I can safely say Terry that this one wasn't one of yours !

I also found a pair of support knickers behind a drawer in the apartment at Avrils...those remained in France.

Looks like the real owner's parents don't use this forum...ho hum.

I have reassured my daughter that the wabbit is now hers !

I wonder if Terry at Ulster tower has had any enquiries about this "Missing in Action" rabbit?

Tom

Michelle,

I think he is old enough now to be told the truth: Spot was probably shot in the next autumn by a hunting party....

My condolences.

Regards,

Marco
