JohnSchultz Posted 19 February , 2019 Share Posted 19 February , 2019 My grandfather (Captain George Edward Schultz of the 15th Cheshires) also died at the Knoll on 19 August 1917, leading W Company. My brother and I visited in August 2017 to mark the centenary. I'm about to complete a book on our grandfather's background, childhood, volunteer service, and war service (with details of where the battalion was every night until he died); but I don't think it's worth paying for its actual publication (as opposed to just printing it for family and friends). However, I'd be happy to send a hard copy to those forum members who would like to read it (as long as demand isn't so high as to make me regret my decision not to publish!).
