Information on a Chaplain required

Recommended Posts

Can anyone provide informatiom on Chaplain Tom Philip Rumbold Clark, please? He was a curate in Camden Town pre-war and then served throughout without a scratch. He married a Belgain nurse, Germaine.

After the war he became vicar of Ashdon, Essex until his death in 1949. He is buried in Ashdon Cemetry with his wife, Germaine,

I presume that you have checked Crockfords Directory - it will give you full details of what he did and when.

The Army List of 1919 shows that he was appointed as a Chaplain to the Forces (C of E)on 1.1.1918. Crockfords shows that he served as Chaplain to the Forces 1918 - 1922. This means his service record will not be in the National Archives, and will be still held by the Army Records Branch.
