Remembered Today:

The bombing of 3rd Cav Field Ambulance at Caix

Hello pals,

OK, so a slightly sensationalist post title, but one of 'my chaps', Lt Col Arthur Menzies was c/o 3rd Cav FA and was killed by a bomb dropped by an enemy aircraft, 9 Aug 1918 at Caix.

I was wondering if anyone had any further info? I have a fair bit on him personally, childhood in Indonesia, photo etc. Was this a noteworthy incident? Maybe it was an accident. Maybe he was out of station at the time.

Thanks as always.

Clive.
