Sir Cliff Posted 10 June , 2010 Share Posted 10 June , 2010 A few weeks ago Me and my Shadows visited the Hindenburg line. There we came across Prospect Hill cemetery. On a beautiful location and very well kept. We all agreed this is one of most beautiful cemeteries we have visited yet. Here a photo I like very much. Seadog Posted 20 June , 2010 Share Posted 20 June , 2010 I do not want to divert this excellent thread on photographs so here is the answer to the location. This is the WW1 trench system constructed for the BBC TV series "The Trench" which portrayed the story of the "Hull Pals" before and during the second attack on the German strongpoint of Serre on the Somme 1916. The trench is actually near the German Hindenburg Line at Flesquieres on the Cambrai battlefield (2002). Regards Norman

Seadog Posted 30 July , 2010 Share Posted 30 July , 2010 For a change this one in England. The Great War Memorial at Portland, Dorset overlooking the sea. The sky is genuine (not photoshopped)and lasted like this for a short time. Taken 29th July 2010. Norman
