laughton Posted 7 November , 2008 Share Posted 7 November , 2008 I was surprised to see this salute to the British Soldiers in a Canadian Cemetery. By "surprised" I do not mean "not rewarding" but rather that someone had the good sense to do this so long ago. Here is the picture from the Woodlawn Cemetery in Gueplp Ontario Canada to remember the Sons of England:

Harper Posted 27 November , 2008 Share Posted 27 November , 2008 Far from Flanders Fields in Sydney there are two great memorials. Here is a link to one. Sadly, my photos of George Lambert's memorial in St Mary's Cathedral weren't up to scratch. http://img444.imageshack.us/my.php?image=w...lsydney3dx7.jpg Harper

jdajd Posted 22 January , 2009 Share Posted 22 January , 2009 This is one of a blood red moon over High Wood around mid-night between July 14 and 15, which is 90 years almost to the hour of the first approaches made on the wood by the 9th (Glasgow) HLI. What made it extra weird was because it was Bastille Day there was a fireworks display somewhere which lit up the horizon like an artillery barrage.
