Photo taken in Foncquevillers military cemetery

Took a picture of that one myself yesterday ! Inscription says it all..............................

So glad this threat got brought to life again - I ended up going back to the start and looking at all of the photos again, some absolutely stunning images here.

Bellflower remarks; inscription says it all...

When I visited Foncquevillers cemetery I came across the stone with the flowers

beneath.

I was struck that the call is still being answered, even after 90 years.

This one is called "Tunnel Vision" and is below the streets of Arras.

You can almost feel that a soldier will be walking round the corner any second now.

I took this in the mid 1990s - Knightsbridge Cemetery, Somme. Strangely, what was a place of death, had become a place of peace and serinity.
