Jonathan Saunders Posted 1 March , 2004 Share Posted 1 March , 2004 I have no idea but I am sure figures exist close to hand. However do you mean just army deaths, or combined service deaths, or civilians as well? Do you mean British including Imperial and Commonwelath troops, French, German, or all Nations? I think the Spanish Flu of 1918/9 killed about 30m+ globally and wasnt that meant to be about 10x as many that died as a result of WW1?

Guest Biplane pilot Posted 2 March , 2004 Share Posted 2 March , 2004 The usual military death toll runs between 9 and 11 million; here's one site among many: http://www.emory.edu/ENGLISH/LostPoets/Casualties.html
Clive Maier Posted 2 March , 2004 Share Posted 2 March , 2004 A little googling will produce the information, including this.
