Well,

I've seen a few of these,not many but,look at the relic one (definately WW1)& the 2nd ,which I always believed was a 1st War model also.

Identical in every way apart from the fact that the relic has a non reversible/1 way mount.

The only other relic I've seen ,had the same system.

Did they change them post war or is this mentioned in a list of changes circa'17/18?

This is what I mean by 'one way mount';

The 1st relic I had,it seemed to me at the time that someone had ground of a bit off of it bit,this 2nd one has not been touched.

Just thought of something.

The gas check regulator on pre/WW2 cups that I've seen,had a brass knob on them.

Anyone have a photo of one?
