On 2/10, the battalion were in reserve undertaking exercises but had been in action between 26 & 29 August, with some heavyish casualties. Can't see mention in the war diary of his MM award, although a June Gazette dates probably puts the action into March - 6th Mancs "big days" were 25 - 27th.
