Amnon Posted 30 August , 2008 Share Posted 30 August , 2008 Hi during a survey in a place named Bir Gamli in the North/western Negev Israel, i found two old flashlight batteries. Between March and Novembr 1917 Bir Gamli was a big British army base with several posts, tracks, light railway and wells. this place situated on the East bank of Basor River (wadi Gaza), about 25 Km West of Beersheba and was in the Southern end of the British line. Today you can find in this place broken bottles of all kind of drinks, broken rum jars, rusty tinned and so on. Maybe some one can help with identify these batteries. amnon
